Abstract
Setting up web applications for optimal resource usage and maximum performance can be a challenge for WebSphere® and DB2® UDB administrators. The concept of connection pool and statement cache help to achieve this goal and are well known in both products. Do they mean the same? This presentation explains the concept of statement cache and connection pool in DB2 UDB as well as WebSphere. Mainly, it discusses how to get the most out of them.
